I love re-interpreting classical paintings. This is based off “Diane de Poitiers-A Lady in Her Bath 1571”. As a feminine painter, I found this piece to hold symbolisms of the trinity of mother, maiden and crone in several forms. The most potent symbolisms I experimented with was in the milk and pearl evolution throughout the piece. It is seen in the maiden pouring in the background, mother's milk in midground, the crone's bath and pearl earring in foreground, as well as the cosmic pearl found nestled in the red velvet folds above all.
