Inspired by Janus: Diety and Gate Keeper of Time, Transitions and New Beginnings. The two faces simultaneously study the past and peer into the future. With so many interpretations to explore I chose to incorporate veils and the mantilla to echo the symbolism and ceremony of great change. Mantillas are traditionally worn during funerals and weddings
